rajouri, Dec 31: Waqar Malik becomes Mr Rajouri, while Sophion Showl bagged best physique in the 1st Rajouri District Body Building and Fitness Championship, organized by the Rajouri District Body Building Association, under the banner of Body Building Association of Jammu and Kashmir, in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council at Jawahar Nagar, here today.
The championship was inaugurated by the chief guest SSP Rajouri, Anjum Manhas in presence of Rajesh Dutta, General Secretary BBAJK, while the chief guest in the final function was Bupinder Singh Tirthi, President BBAJK and guest of honour was Santokh Singh.
Mr Manhas in his inaugural speech lauded the role of District Body Building Association Rajouri and Body Building Association Jammu and Kashmir for their efforts to encourage and guide the youth for maintaining good health and avoid drugs.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Balkar Angurana, Sharyar Kabir, Parvez, Naresh Gupta, Vinod Kumar, Javed Bhatti and Ajit Singh Jamwal.
In 50-55 kg, Farhad Haider bagged gold, Khalid Rizwan clinched silver and Sushant Dutta claimed bronze, while in 55- 60 kg, Tariq won gold and Zakki Qureshi got silver.
In 60-65 kg, Waqar clinched gold, Shivam bagged silver and Owais claimed bronze, while in 65-70 kg, Jatin Pal won gold, Wasim claimed silver and Javed clinched bronze.
In 70-75 kg, Sophion bagged gold, Pankit won silver and Afroz claimed bronze, while in 75-80 kg, Abhinav won gold, Mushrol got silver and Naeem claimed bronze.
