POONCH, Mar 16: The police claimed to have nabbed a wanted criminal after the long chase of over two decades in district Poonch.
A police spokesman said that one Girdhari Lal, son of Jia Lal, resident of Magnad village was wanted by Poonch police in a case FIR No. 127/ 1997, under sections 302/34/201 RPC. The accused was evading arrest for the last about twenty years.
On the initiative of the new SSP, the police team led by a Sub Inspector, Verma under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Mohan Lal conducted raid and arrested the accused today. He was later produced before the court.
