Wani releases Anand Lehar’s Urdu novel ‘Naam Dev’

Minister for R&B Abdul Majid Wani and others releasing Anand Lehar’s Urdu novel at JU on Sunday.

JAMMU, Apr 7: “Naam Dev” an Urdu novel written by renowned Urdu writer and senior Supreme Court Lawyer Anand Lehar was today released by Minister for R&B Abdul Majid Wani.
Novel Naam Dev contain 152 pages. It has been published by the Oshan Publications New Delhi.
The book release function was organized by Centre for Professional Studies in Urdu, University of Jammu in collaboration with Rasa Javedani Memorial Literary Society and Nami Dogri Sanstha.
The function was presided over by Jammu University Vice Chancellor Prof M P Singh Ishar while Prof Shohab Inayat Malik, Prof Sukhchain Singh and writer of the Novel Anand Lehar also graced the presidium.
While speaking on the occasion, Minister of R&B Abdul Majid Wani spoke at length on the contributions of Anand Lehar towards Urdu language and literature in the State who had written a number of Urdu novels and short stories.
Prof M P Singh Ishar in his presidential address congratulated Centre for Professional Studies in Urdu for organizing the book release function. He assured his full support to Urdu organizations who are working for the promotion of Urdu language. He too described Anand Lehar a towering writer of Urdu language who had authored more than one dozen books in Urdu.
Earlier Director of the Centre Prof Shohab Inayat Malik in his welcome address described Anand Lehar a writer of love and peace who had projected the realities of life in his writings.
On the occasion, Minister for R&B Abdul Majid Wani was also honoured by Rasa Javedani Memorial Literary Society and Nami Dogri Sanstha Jammu for his contribution towards state politics and Urdu language. On behalf of the Society Vice Chancellor Prof Ishar presented him a shawal and memento.
