MENDHAR, Mar 14: Under Civic Action Programme, a Volleyball Tournament, being organized at Armed Police Headquater by JKAP-6th Bn got underway at Bhera, here today.
The tournament was inaugurated by Commandant JKAP 6th Bn, P K Sharma in an impressive and well attended function.
Eight teams drawn from Mendhar and adjoining areas are participating in the tournament.
Mr Sharma welcomed all the participants and encouraged them to take part in such programmes of J&K Police. He also advised the players to maintain their physical fitness and exhibit sportsman spirit.
The inaugural match was played between Pathanateer Volleyball Club and Salwah Volleyball Club.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were DySP JKAP 6th Bn, Shahjahan Ahmed and Senior Journalist and president Press Council of Mendhar, Poonch, MS Nazki.
