JAMMU, May 8: To enhance the leadership qualities and shoulder social responsibilities, Vishwa Bharati Public Higher Secondary School, Akalpur Morh Jammu organized an Investiture Ceremony for the election of Students’ Council for the session 2018-19. Mohit Koul of class 10th was elected as Head Boy and Muskaan Mahajan of class 10th as Head Girl. Besides Nitin Pandita was elected as Sports Secretary and Shagun Bhatt as Academic Secretary.
The oath ceremony took place in School Auditorium. All the elected students were conferred with badges and sashes as per their designations. They also pledged to hold the school motto of loyalty, truth and honour in high esteem.
School Principal, Prof Annapurna Koul congratulated the elected students and admonished them to perform their devolved duties effectively for the smooth functioning and maintaining the discipline and decorum in the school campus.
Meanwhile, Vanshika, Aasvi Koul, Jaspreet Kour and Disha Bhat have been elected Captain, Vice Captain, Prefect I and Prefect II of Vishwa House respectively, while Sushant Bhat, Aastha Pandita, Mehak Kar and Ishika were elected Captain, Vice Captain, Prefect I and Prefect II of Satyam House respectively.
In Shivam House, Krishna Gupta, Gagandeep, Diya Koul and Riya Maratha were elected Captain, Vice Captain, Prefect I and Prefect II of Vishwa House respectively and in Sundaram House Vanshika Katoch was elected Captain, Ananta as Vice Captain, while Komal and Suksham were elected Prefect I and Prefect II respectively.
