JAMMU, Apr 5: Ace Judoka Virbhadra Singh clinched gold while other five Judokas bagged bronze medals in the Cadet and Junior National Championship held at Jallandhar in Punjab recently.
The bronze medal winners included Vanshika Manhas, Azad Chander Sharma, Kabra Altaf, Farhat Gulzar and Basit Rafiq.
While Virbhadra, Vanshika and Azad are the trainees of Judo Coaches Ritika Slathia and Suraj Bhan Singh, the trio of Kabra, Farhat and Basit receive training from Judo Coach Shafkat Shafi.
The winners were honoured by Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra in a simple function on their return in Jammu.
