JAMMU, Mar 29: Chairman Chinar Power Projects Workers Union District Kishtwar Joginder Bhandari has strongly criticised the authorities of National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) for violating the MoU agreement of Dul Hasti Project reached between the NHPC and State Government.
Joginder Bhandari has said that an agreement was signed between the NHPC and State Government in which it was clearly mentioned that the NHPC will provide supply of power, road connectivity, drainage system, hospital, free education, drinking water, bus facility to school going children, employment to affected land owners, free education, scholarship etc within the radius of five kilometer of Dul Hasti Project but it is a matter of great concern that no such facility was provided since the project is generating 390 MW power and revenue of crores of rupees yearly to Central Government.
He said people were suffering due to violation of Memorandum of Undrestanding.
