Villagers protest against shortage of staff, infrastructure in school

UDHAMPUR, June 5: The students of Government Higher Secondary School Jakhed of Zone Dudu and locals of Dudu and adjoining areas today protested against shortage of staff and class rooms in the school.
They raised slogans against the Education Department and also blocked the Dudu- Udhampur road for more than three hours.
The protest was led by Hans Raj Thakur, Ex-Sarpanch Dudu and Panches The protesters alleged that due to the shortage of staff in the school, the students were facing manifold problems and not getting their queries solved pertaining to their subjects. Further, they added, there is no proper sitting arrangement in the school.
Hans Raj Thakur said that this GHSS with students strength 313, has only 18 posts while the remaining 25 positions are vacant.
Later on, Tehsildar Dudu Vivek Gupta and SHO Dudu and other officials reached the spot and  assured the agitating people that the issues would be brought before the concerned authorities.
