Villagers protest against power failure

REASI, Aug 10: Infuriated over failure of electricity supply in their village for the last three days, inhabitants of village Vijaypur in this district today held a protest demonstration in Reasi town.
The protesting villagers raised slogans against the PDD authorities and staged a dharna on the road at Bus Stand Reasi. They refused to lift dharna till restoration of electricity supply to the village.
Later, SHO Reasi Jasbir Singh reached the spot and pacified the protesting villagers by assuring that the electricity supply would be restored by 11 a.m tomorrow.
Before dispersing off, the villagers threatened to close Reasi-Jammu road if the electricity is not restored by tomorrow morning.
