Villagers protest against non-availability of teachers

UDHAMPUR, May 10: Up in arms against shortage of teaching staff in the Government Middle School Sainga, Zone Panchari, locals of Sainga Badhota held a strong protest demonstration.
They raised slogans against the School Education authorities holding them responsible for the attachment culture.
The school has four teachers, including a Headmaster for eight classes from first to 8th standard, having strength of over 150 students.
According to the villagers, the only Science Teacher, who was appointed under Rehbar-e-Taleem pattern and posted at the Govt Middle School Sainga, was attached to Junwal Kote Primary School, with the result that studies of the students are adversely affecting
The attachment was done despite clear directions from the Government and authorities of Education Department against the transfers and attachments of teachers recruited/ appointed under ReT scheme,
The villagers appealed the Education Minister and the higher authorities of School Education Department to order immediate detachment of the said ReT teacher, who has been attached without approval from the competent authority. They warned to launch an indefinite strike if the detachment is not ordered within a week.
