Vikramaditya visits LoC villages

NOWSHERA, Sept 26: Senior PDP leader, Vikramaditya Singh (MLC) today visited Nowshera area and took stock of the plight of the border residents.
Singh held public meetings at  Nonial, Bhojanava and Choki villages and had detailed interaction with the local people.  Some of the common grievances that were brought to his notice were, lack of development of roads, shortage of doctors in hospitals and inadequate water supply.
The MLC said that it was disturbing to see the increased scale of shelling and the impact it has had on the local residents. The villagers complained of inadequate bunker facilities and low compensation paid for loss of crop and cattle caused due to heavy shelling.
They expressed their dissatisfaction towards the efforts being made in this direction by the State and Central Governments. Vikramaditya assured them that he would take up the matter with the Chief Minister and apprise her of their plight.
The Legislator also inaugurated three transformers given to these villages from his CDF.  He was accompanied by MLC Surinder Choudhary, Satpal Charak, Choudhary Sukhdev Singh, Subedar Gyan Chand, Nanak Chand, Mian Khan, Maqsood Ahmad and others.
