SAMBA, Apr 9: Vijaypur Zone lifted twin Football title in the District Level Inter Zone Football Tournament under ‘Let’s Play’ Khelo India scheme, which got underway at Sports Stadium, here today.
In the girls’ category title clash, Vijaypur defeated Purmandal Zone in a close contest by a solitary goal (1-0), while in the boys’ summit clash, Vijaypur got the better of Samba by three goals to nil (3-0).
Earlier, the Tournament was declared open by Sanjay Sharma, Assistant Director Planning in an impressive and well attended function.
The Tournament is being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Samba, under the overall supervision of Sunil Kumar, DYSSO Samba.
