SAMBA, Dec 7: Vijaypur Police has recovered a kidnapped girl within 24 hours after the report was lodged in the Police Station by the mother of the girl.
The police teams were fanned out in various directions to trace her. Besides, recovering the girl the police also arrested the youth responsible for her kidnapping from Railway Station.
According to police on December 6, a written complaint was received at P/S Vijaypur from one Ramjeet Kour, wife of Jawahar Singh, R/o Govindpuri Vijaypur stating therein that her daughter namely, Harpreet Kour, age 20 years has been kidnapped by Ravi Kumar son of Girdhari Lal resident of Vijaypur.
Acting on the complaint, a case FIR No. 156/17 U/S 366 RPC was registered at PS Vijaypur and search started to trace out the girl. With strenuous efforts and with the assistance of technical team, a police party from P/S Vijaypur headed by Inspector Suraj Pathania, SHO Vijaypur under the supervision of Abhishek Sharma, SDPO Vijaypur and under overall supervision of Raja Adil Hamid, I/C SP Samba has traced out the kidnapped girl in 24 hours and also arrested the accused Ravi Kumar son of Girdhari Lal resident of Vijaypur from Railway Station Vijaypur.
