RAJOURI, Nov 8: A team of State Vigilance Organisation today conducted inspection in the offices of CAPD at Rajouri and seized the record.
Official sources said that the sleuths of Vigilance Organisation led by DySP, Girdhari Lal from Jammu, on the basis of certain complaints arrived Rajouri town today and started operation. The team during day long operation, seized the record pertaining to supplies of ration from Jammu stores and its distribution to various tehsils and blocks in the entire district during last two years. They paid visit to the office Teshil Supply officer Rajouri, Assistant Director CAPD and to a few Govt ration outlets in Rajouri area. After seizure of record, the team returned to Jammu late this evening.
SP Vigilance, Rajouri-Poonch when contacted said that it was routine exercise of the SVO. He said that the team led by an officer of the rank of DySP was involved in the scrutiny of the record pertaining to ration supply to the area and its distribution. He said if any discrepancy or embezzlement is detected in the seized record, the organization will register an FIR in this connection.
