JAMMU: The State Vigilance Organisation today arrested the Principal of Government Degree College Reasi in corruption charges.
The State Vigilance Organisation arrested Principal of Government Degree College Reasi, Prof Hemla Aggarwal in a corruption case, official spokesman here said. He said, earlier she was Principal Government College for Women Parade, Jammu.
“On the basis of an enquiry conducted by Vigilance Organisation to enquire into the allegations regarding irregularities in purchases made by Professor Aggarwal, then Principal SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu, a case under FIR number 23/ 2014 under sections 5(1) (d) r/w 5(2) Prevention of Corruption Act Svt 2006,120-B RPC was registered on 16-08-2014 against here,” said the spokesman.
A case was also registered against Jagdish Kumar, the then Senior Assistant (storekeeper) SPMR Commerce College Jammu, he added. (AGENCIES)
