Vibodh Gupta inaugurates Sewa Bharti hostel

RAJOURI, Apr 14: BJP MLC Vibodh Gupta today inaugurated students’ hostel by the Sewa Bharti at Dasal in Rajouri, which has been built with an estimated cost of Rs 50 lakh.
Most of this amount was collected by the  Sewa Bharti through voluntary donations. At the inaugural function of the hostel, many senior office bearers of Sewa Bharti along with prominent citizens and students were present.
On the occasion, audience at the inaugural function was enthralled by an impressive cultural performance by the students of Sewa Bharti hostel from various areas of Jammu. Addressing the gathering, MLC Vibodh Gupta appreciated this historic initiative by the volunteers of Sewa Bharti in Rajouri. This hostel, he said, will go a long way in helping poor and needy students of far-off places who can not afford to bear the costs of living in cities for their education. He also appreciated a local resident who donated land for the construction of this hostel.  He hoped that this hostel will go a long way in inculcating a sense of nationalism among our younger generation and in producing our future administrators and leaders.
MLC Vibodh said that works of Sewa Bharti are a perfect example to show how great works can be done through active involvement of civil society.
During the programme, Engineer and senior office bearer of Sewa Bharti, Vikarm Mahajan gave a detailed account of various expenses made right from the foundation to completion of the hostel. He also gave details about how this amount for the construction was collected from various sources from time to time.
On this occasion, Vinod Gupta, Prant Sewa Pramukh, informed that the present hostel is well equipped with all the necessary facilities and in the initial stage 24 students have been admitted. These students, he said, are from the poorest families from the remote corners of Rajouri.  Vinod further said that inauguration of the hostel on April 14 is a perfect tribute to Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
The vote of thanks was presented by Shakti Gupta. Prominent among others, who were present on the occasion, included Kshetriye Sangathan Mantri of Sewa Bharti Jaidev, Jia Lal, Kanwal Gupta, Dinesh Sharma, Naval Gupta, Rajinder Gupta, Kewal Sharma, Nikhil Gupta and Rajesh Bunty.
