Vibodh calls dynastic rulers ‘Thugs of Kashmir’

RAJOURI, Nov 11: With an eye to ensure that the democratic process of Panchayat elections is carried smoothly, senior BJP leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta convened a public meeting at Kerrian today. Taking a jibe on Kashmir-centric political parties, he termed dynastic rulers “the Thugs of Kashmir”.
While addressing the people, Vibodh said that in Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections Jammu and Kashmir voted for family-free democracy. He further said, that hold of PDP and NC in Valley has dwindled while BJP space has widened”. “Junaid Maattu has been elected as Srinagar Mayor with the support of BJP”, he added.
MLC said that BJP Government has taken constructive and promising steps to empower border districts in J&K. He said, “twin border district of Rajouri and Poonch have received many perks and gargantuan projects during Narendra Modi Government”. He lauded the Centre Government for its decision to raise two battalions for border districts.
MLC asked people to ensure maximum participation in Panchayat elections. He appealed people to vote for the right person irrespective of caste, religion and gender. He further said Panchayat elections in J&K are of historical importance and boon to people’s welfare.
Kapil Saryal also spoke on the occasion. Senior party leaders and prominent citizens those accompanied MLC during meeting were councillor Sudershana Devi , Sham Lal Baburam, Om Parkash, Pasinda Ram, Rakesh Kumar, Kewal Sarpanch, Karan Saryal, Anju Bala, Gudi Devi, Daali Devi. Munshi Khan, Mohd Sageer and Mohd Yousif.
