JAMMU, Jan 5: BJP senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta today had a meeting with  Pardeep Kumar, Director Rural Development, and held detailed discussion with him related to  the ground implementation of various Government schemes in Rajouri and Poonch.
The MLC was briefed about various current schemes of the department specially Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Under this scheme various poor and marginalized sections of the society will get support from the Government to build their own houses. Under this scheme each house will get a financial support of 1.5 lakh.
Gupta informed him that there are many deserving cases in the border districts which need serious consideration for such schemes. He advised that the concerned BDO’s and village level workers must be directed to take these schemes to the people for which such schemes have been designed. Moreover, a massive awareness campaign should also be launched by the department to further popularize these schemes. These schemes have been designed with a noble cause of providing a house to the most deprived sections of the society.
To show the real impact of such schemes on the ground the BDO’s and VLWs have tremendous responsibility. Accordingly the performance of these officials must be evaluated based on their performance on the ground. Through such initiatives only the real dream of  Prime Minister  Narendra  Modi of providing housing to all can be full filled.
During the meeting detailed discussions on many other schemes like Gramin Bhandaran Yojana for providing scientific storage facility in the remote and far off villages was also discussed. In addition to this the vital social schemes for providing affordable toilets in the villages were also discussed. Latter Vibodh urged the Director Rural Development Department to ensure that no genuine and needy person or a area of Rajouri and Poonch should be neglected and all efforts must be made to show that the results of these schemes are clearly visible on the ground.
