JAMMU, May 25: State VHP president Leela Karan Sharma today commended the Indian Army in giving a befitting reply to Pakistan who usually violates the ceasefire and sends the terrorists in this border State to create trouble.
Sharma while talking to reporters here today also commended the timely action taken by Major Gogoi in avoiding the bloodshed and saving the lives of security forces besides electoral staff from the clutches of a mob of more than 1000, armed with stones and petrol bombs.
He said entire nation has appreciated this timely action of Major Gogoi particularly at the time when war like situations were existing. Army and Major Gogoi should be honoured/praised by all persons having national interest paramount in their mind. He strongly condemned the statement made by former Chief Minister, Umar Abdullah by lowering the image of a national hero (Major Gogoi). “Abdullah should not loose the sight of the fact that Kashmir problem is the creation of his family, his grandfather and father are responsible for all what is happening in the Valley”, he added.
Her said Abdullah should also remember that four districts of Kashmir are not the whole Jammu & Kashmir State which comprised of Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh region. He also deplored the silence of the Jammu based NC leaders who didn’t speak a word in support of Indian Army/Major Gogoi. Sharma called upon the peoples of Jammu to enquire from all these NC leaders of Jammu whether they have a slightest national interest in their heart and ready to condemn the action of their bosses or they will continue to lick the shoes of their bosses for their petty interests.
Sharma also condemned the statement made by Farooq Abdullah before his election to the Parliament supporting the cause of Hurriyat, stone pelters/militants and never uttered a word in respect of the Army martyrs who laid down their lives in defending their country. The VHP leader called upon the State and Central Governments to take stern action against all the culprits who sung Pakistani National Anthem before start of cricket matches and raised Pak slogans in the Government stadiums and all the incharge of these stadiums should be sacked immediately. Sharma also demanded the State Government to withdraw the FIR lodged against Major Gogoi, failing which the State Government should be ready to face the music
It is high time to act fast and take punitive actions against all those culprits and ensure the smooth conduct of the Amarnath Yatra.
