RAJOURI, July 9: The police seized a vehicle loaded with six bovine animals and arrested one person in this connection.
A police spokesman said that police party led by SHO Rajouri Tahir Khan laid naka under the supervision of DySP Hqs Govind Rattan near Alpha Gate and signaled a mini-truck. But the driver accelerated the vehicle and tried to escape. The police team chased the vehicle and intercepted it at some distance. It was found loaded with six bovine animals.
The vehicle along with cattle was seized and its driver arrested. He has been identified as Arif Ahmed, son of Mohd Iqbal, resident of Surankote. The vehicle was on way to Kashmir via Mughal Road. The police has registered a case FIR No. 366/ 2018 under section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered in this connection.
