VC JDA reviews developmental works

JAMMU, May 20: In order to speed up the ongoing projects, the Vice Chairman JDA Rajesh Kumar Shavan reviewed progress of the works.
During the review meeting, it was intimated that the work of multi-tier parking is being carried out in double shift and all the bottle necks coming in the way of development have been removed. The Superintending Engineer JDA intimated that the work is likely to be completed by the end of April 2019.
Besides, the work of other projects like Tawi River Front, Survey for carving out colonies and construction of flatted accommodation was also discussed. It was intimated by the participants that the project for flatted accommodation at Nagrota is under way and the DPR is likely to be prepared within week’s time.
It is pertinent to mention that the JDA is carrying out important projects which will change the face and profile of the city. Important among such projects include River Tawi Front, multi-tier parking, habitat centre, flatted accommodation and construction of houses for Economically Weaker Sections.
The progress of demarcation of land was also discussed. The Vice Chairman exhorted upon the officers to work with zeal and enthusiasm and re-double the efforts so that the works are completed in time bound manner. He further directed the Executive Engineer to complete the work on construction of shops at ISBT under the rehabilitation plan and black list the contractor in case he fails to handover the shops within six weeks.
