JAMMU, May 17: The Inter Faculty Sports Meet was declared open today by Prof. P K Sharma, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu at Indoor Sports complex, Chatha Campus, here.
Prof. Sharma in his opening address stated that sports and extracurricular activities give the necessary break to the students and brings out their hidden talent and foster competitive spirit and sportsmanship among them.
The three days sports meet is being organized by the Directorate of Education, SKUAST-J.
Students from Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Basic Sciences and Faculty of Veterinary Sciences will be competing amongst each other in Cricket, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Football and Badminton.
Among other present on the occasion were Dr. T.A.S. Ganai, Director Education, Dr. Dilip Kachroo, Registrar, Dr D.P. Abrol, Dean Faculty of Agriculture, Dr M.M.S. Zama, Dean Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Dr Sandeep Sehgal, Deputy Director Students Welfare.
