JAMMU, Feb 18: While demanding immediate revocation of Art 370 and 35-A in the Jammu and Kashmir State, Vedic Brahman Kalyan Parishad (VBKP) today pleaded the Govt of India to arrest the separatists, Hurriyat Conference leaders for the treason and spitting venom against the country.
National president of the VBKP, Subhash Kaushik in a press statement issued today, blamed Pakistan sponsored terrorism for the Pulwama incident in which country lost 40 CRPF personnel, but maintained that it was opportune time to `nip the evil in the bud’. He said Modi Govt should avail all possible options to teach a lesson to Pakistan, but at the same time, the Indian Govt must adopt tough policy against the people supporting terrorists, Hurriyat Conference leaders involved in treason and anti-national activities and those pelting stones on security forces while they carry out anti-terrorists operations in Kashmir.
Kaushik demanded that all the facilities and concessions being provided by the Govt of India to the Separatists and other Kashmiris, as special status to this State be withdrawn. There should be no subsidies to the State as special case and J&K must be treated at par with other states. He said this is the right time for the Modi Govt to go for revocation of Art 370 and open entry of all the Indians to settle in the J&K State. He said if law/ constitution permits J&K people to settle anywhere in the country and purchase properties, the people from other states should also be allowed the same facilities in J&K.
Seeking amendment in the Constitution, the VBKP National president demanded that there should be one Constitution in the whole country and past mistakes be corrected taking bold initiatives. He further demanded that free hand be given to the security forces to deal with the terrorists, their supporters and stone- pelters/ sympathizers in Kashmir and those raising anti-India and pro-Pakistan slogans be booked for treason.
VBKP chief said enough has been witnessed in Jammu and Kashmir for the last several decades. “Let the war be declared with Pakistan, if it has now become necessary for the permanent peace in the region,” Kaushik asserted.
