Various institutions, organizations celebrate 68th Republic Day with patriotic fervour

JAMMU, Jan 25: Various institutions and organizations across Jammu City and adjoining areas    celebrated 68th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour, here today.
The Department of Management Studies of Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm in the college campus. Chairman, Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions, Vidhi S Singh, unfurled the Tricolour. The function started with a welcome address by Roshni Arora highlighting the importance of this day. A number of activities like dance, patriotic act, songs, etc were presented by the students.
Republic Day was celebrated in Sant Mela Singh College, Digiana, Jammu. Students presented various cultural programme and speak on the importance of the day. Principal, Dr Kiran Luthra, hoisted the National Flag and stressed upon the students to maintain sovereignty and integrity of the Country.
KC International School celebrated 68th Republic Day with great fervor. The students of the senior wing organized an inter-house dance competition on the theme of patriotism. The energetic dances performed by the children kept the flame of patriotism alive. Principal, Maya Mishra in her speech reiterated the role of teachers for preparing the young minds to lead the country towards development.
The students and staff of MHAC Nagbani celebrated the Republic Day with full zeal and enthusiasm. Assembly area was decorated with the National flags and tri-coloured balloons all around. Principal Sween Puri congratulated everyone and apprised them of many pre independence developments leading to freedom and framing of the Indian Constitution.
Model Academy Jammu celebrated Republic Day in all its solemnity and grandeur at both its branches. On this occasion, a special assembly was organized in which students presented speeches, poems and patriotic songs. Dr Adit Gupta, Director was the chief guest, while Rupa Gupta, Management Representative was the guest of honour.
JK Montessorie Senior Secondary School celebrated Republic Day with patriotic fervor in the school premises. In a special assembly, teachers highlighted the importance of the day. Various activities like inter- class patriotic group song competition for the students of primary wing, debates, etc were organized. Little toddlers also presented various patriotic songs.
Vishwa Bharati Public Higher Secondary School, Akalpur Morh, Jammu celebrated 68th Republic Day with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The programme commenced with ‘Bharat Vandana’ and followed by a series of items like patriotic songs, dances and speeches by the students.
Sai Shyam Educational Society, Ghou Manhasan, Jammu organized a Republic Day function in the society complex in which Sai Shyam Public School, Sai Shyam College of Education and VIVO Health Care Centre participated. The National Flag was hoisted by C L Tickoo, Chairman of the society, while Dr Usha Tickoo, Principal Sai Shyam College of Education threw light on the significance of the day.
The Republic Day was celebrated in Crescent Public School with full enthusiasm. MD of the School, Tasneem Kouser along with Principal, Bhavna Kaushal unfurled the National Flag and thereafter released tricolor balloons in the sky. Students sang patriotic songs and presented a beautiful cultural programme.
The student and staff of Shri Mahavir Jain Higher Secondary School Jammu celebrated Republic Day with enthusiasm. Tricolour was unfurled by the president, Jain Educational Trust, Prof BL Jain. The student presented a captivating cultural bonanza focused on patriotism. Principal Suresh Gupta distributed sweets among the students.
In connection with Republic Day, Avantika– a group of contemporary artists and intellectuals from New Delhi, today held a painting competition among the students of class 1st to 8th in the premises of Navyug Higher Secondary School, Upper Shiv Nagar, Jammu. About 250 students participated in the competition and their drawings were sent to Avantika Headquarter New Delhi for judgement.
To celebrate Republic Day, an Inter-House card making Competition on the theme ‘Republic Day’ was organized in the premises of ASN Higher Secondary School, Chani Himmat for students of class 1st to 7th. The students showed their keen interest in the competition. Participation certificates were distributed among the students.
Elite Public High School, Udheywalla celebrated Republic Day with great passion. Students as well as teachers presented their views on the importance of the day. In the end, sweets were distributed among the students and staff.
MNKG Montessori Public High School Gandhinagar celebrated Republic Day with great zeal. The programme began with flag hoisting by the Chairman and Principal of the school amongst chants of National Anthem. The students performed dances, recited National songs and made speeches on Republic Day. A skit based on recent demonetization was also present.
Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua celebrated Republic Day with great zeal. Principal, Shuchita Gupta hoisted the National flag. Children of various classes performed various acts like poems, dances and skits dedicated to our freedom fighters.
Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu celebrated India’s Republic Day with enthusiasm and fervour .  The school echoed with patriotic fervour as the children sang patriotic songs and even wore tricoloured clothes to mark the occasion. Chairperson, S Harpreet Singh Anand unfurled the National tri-colour.
Bhartiya Shiksha Kender High School, Domana celebrated Republic Day celebration under the theme ‘Indian’ in the school campus here today. The students presented a variety of cultural programs with various topics and poems. On the occasion, Raj Singh (Master Mariner) motivated the students to be a true Indian by performing their duties well and excelling in their respective fields as good students.
The Republic Day was also celebrated in the premises of Navyug Playway School, Subhash Nagar, Jammu. Students of pre-primary classes sang patriotic songs and presented a colourful cultural programme. Later, sweets were distributed among the students.
68th Republic Day was also celebrated by staff and students of SD Tara Puri Public High School, Jammu. A painting and slogan writing competition was organized for the students. Besides this, students presented patriotic songs and delivered speeches.
Republic Day was celebrated by the staff and students of Alexander Memorial School, Jammu with enthusiasm and fervour. The programme began with unfurling of the National Flag by the Principal, Esther Williams and singing of National Anthem by all present on the occasion.
Naveen Shiksha Kender High School, Chhanni Himmat, celebrated Republic Day. Dr RR Khajuria founder member of the Sawera, hoisted the National Flag. The students of the school presented a number of cultural programmes. Ram Gopal Sharma, Chairman, School Management Committee explained the students about the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters for integrity of the Nation.
Lord Mahavira Playway School, Shiv Nagar Jammu celebrated the Republic Day today. The function began with unfurling of National Flag by Principal, Madhu Sharma with the school band playing the National Anthem. Thereafter, the programme included patriotic songs and dance items by students.
Luthra Public School, Shemrock Angels Talab Tillo, Luthra Higher Secondary School, Shemrock Icons Kacchi Chawani celebrated 68th Republic Day at BR Luthra Educational Complex, Talab Tillo Jammu. Tricolour was hoisted by Principal, Sanjeev Luthra. The main attraction of the program was Quiz Competition. The other presentations by the students were patriotic song, poems and quotations of great personalities.
Madhuvan Kids, Shastri Nagar celebrated Republic Day with patriotic fervor. The National Flag was hoisted by former Minister, Raman Bhalla, who was the chief guest. The students saluted the Tricolour among chants of National Anthem. Later, a beautiful cultural programme was presented by the students.
Children of Greenfields School celebrated 68th Republic Day by dressing up as Rani Jhansi, Subhash Chander Bose, prominent political leaders and others, who were involved in making India a free Republic. ‘Hum Honge Kamyaab’ was the theme of the programme. Principal, Bhavana Sethi, distributed sweets and prizes among the children.
The children of Surabhi Nursery School and Day Care Centre of the Department of Home Science, University of Jammu celebrated Republic Day with patriotic fervour today. The students were dressed up as leaders-Rani Lakshmi Bai, Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chander Bose, Jawaharlal Nehru, Soldiers and other. Speaking on the occasion, Prof Neeru Sharma, Head of the Department, said that Republic Day is a special occasion for all Indians. Prof Rajni Dhingra, Dean Faculty of Science and Dr Sarika Manhas, Assistant Prof, were also present.
Kidzee Pre-School celebrated ‘Republic Day’ at its branches in Bohri (Anand Nagar), Gandhi Nagar, Channi Himmat and Talab Tillo with great enthusiasm and joy. The celebration started with the hoisting of flag. The kids actively participated in dance, Drill and showered flowers on the Tri-colour flag. A special assembly was also conducted in which they were given demonstration regarding this National Festival.
68th Republic Day was celebrated in Doon International School Jammu with great zeal and fervour. The students presented a patriotic and cultural programme along with short speeches depicting their patriotism in the best possible manner. The patriotic group songs sung by senior students were the highlights of the Republic Day celebration.
Children of Happy Hours Nursery School, Rehari celebrated Republic Day with great pomp and show. Principal, Poonam Gupta gave an insight to the children about the importance of the Republic day.
Wonder World School marked the celebrations of 68th Republic Day by hoisting National Flag in the School premises today. Children wore saffron, white and green colour dresses depicting patriotism and enthusiasm. Sweets were distributed among the children on the occasion.
Lalded Women Welfare Society celebrated Republic Day by presenting patriotic plays and songs. The artists who took part in the play included Naveen Pal, Suriya Narayan and Varinder Kumar.
The Lal Chand Yamla Foundation celebrated the 68th Republic Day at a function held in Channi Kamala. In a glittering ceremony, IDAS Officer (Retd) GR Kaith who was the chief guest, hoisted the National Flag with the tunes of National Anthem and took salute. Dr Kuldeep Motan recalled the patriotic history of the country and called upon the youth to follow the ideals established by the Nationalists.
