JAMMU, Sept 14: A deputation of J&K United School Teachers Association (USTA) led by its president Hari Singh met Director School Education, Jammu Smita Sethi in her chamber and apprised her of various problems faced by teaching community.
The charter of demands put forth by the association included adjustment of all Masters in one go, conducting inquiry in recent norm, pick and choose transfer and transfer and repatriation all those who have completed their tenure in far flung areas or other districts, regularization of all ReT teachers who have completed their five years un-regularized service, regularization of Lecturers, Headmasters and Principals and enact right to Education Bill in J&K.
Director School Education gave patient hearing and assured the deputationist that she will call the association in near future for detailed discussion on demand charter for its redressal.
Others present were Rajeev Kumar, Shanti Saroop Sharma, Dr Shastri Pal Singh, Sajjat Mirza and Chamail Singh.
