SRINAGAR, Nov 3: Trouncing Sahara Hockey Club Srinagar convincingly in the summit clash, Uplina Hockey Club Baramulla lifted the title trophy of the Open State Hockey Championship, organized by Hockey J&K at Gindun Sports Stadium, Raj Bagh, here.
Uplina Hockey Club defeated Sahara Hockey Club Srinagar by two goals to nil (2-0).
Kanta Andotra, President Hockey J&K was the chief guest on the occasion, while Professor Bashir Ahmed, Member J&K State Sports Council and Nuzat Ara, Divisional Sports Officer were the guests of honour.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were RJN Wani, Joint Secretary Hockey J&K, Gurcharan Jit Singh, Talib Hussain, Vice President Hockey J&K, SA Masoodi, Avtar Singh, Gurdiyal Singh and Manjeet Singh.
The match was officiated by Gurdeep Singh Sangral, Mohd Ameen and Hardeep Singh.
The Tournament was organized under the overall supervision of GS Bakshi, General Secretary Hockey J&K.
