Unrest, resentment among people on rise in J&K: Mir

REASI, Feb 4: Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Gulam Ahmed Mir today said that unrest and resentment among the people against PDP-BJP regime was on the rise in the J&K State.
Addressing a large public rally at Dharmari in Mahore area of district Reasi today, PCC chief lashed at the Centre and State Govt for their total failure on every sphere in the State, as a result there is large scale resentment and continued unrest amongst the people. He said that during the present BJP regime at the Centre and coalition of PDP-BJP in the State, there is unprecedented disturbed conditions and there is total failure  of the Govt on all fronts.
He said that coalition has failed on every front and the situation has  worsened in the State because of ‘opportunist’ alliance. The people are facing lot of hardship due to non-availability of basic amenities of life like drinking water, electricity, medicare facility, ration etc  and the Coalition Govt is busy to sort out their differences and has no time to listen the problems of people.
Mir appreciated the sense of brotherhood and secularism of the people of this area who largely present in the rally show their faith on the policies and programmes of Congress party and its leadership.
CLP leader  Rigzin Jora said that the Govt is nowhere visible on the ground  and  has added to the miseries of the common man, since this coalition partners are busy round the clock to manage their contradictions only to stick  to power despite pulling the strings in opposite directions.
Raman Bhalla said that the BJP and the PDP leadership has  hoodwinked the people during the election rallies to check-mate each other from entering the corridors of power and polarized the situation to the hilt. He said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his election rallies asked people to stop PDP (“Baap Beti Party”) from coming to power while PDP sought votes to check BJP’s Mission 44. There was a tactical understanding between the two parties for hoodwinking the people of the both the regions on these slogans . The people of the State are suffering most because of this opportunist Govt.
Dy. CLP leader Aijaz Khan lambasted   BJP and the PDP for  their unholy alliance which has totally failed o the ground in view of the inherent contradictions on all sensitive issues  between the two coalition partners as a result  the situation has deteriorated on all fronts. He said the only achievements of the present dispensation is to generate controversies and conflicts disturbing the political, social and secular fabric of this sensitive State.
MLAs  Gulzar Wani and Mumtaz Khan highlighted the peoblems of people.
Prominent among who spoke included  Rakesh Wazir, Pritam Singh (DCC president), Kewal Singh, Gourav Kapoor, Prem Singh, Mohammed Shafi, Narayan Singh, Altaf Lone, Mohd Akram, Kashlaya Devi, Parveen Akhtar and Ghulam Fatima.
