Unknown persons open fire in air, case registered

UDHAMPUR, Aug 4: Panic griped Gangera village, when some unknown persons opened fire in air, here late night.
As per police sources, some unknown persons opened fire in the air with small weapon (pistol) in village Gangera.
After getting information, a team from Police Station Udhampur led by SHO Inspector Vijay Singh Choudhary under the supervision of DySP DAR Himmat Singh and SSP Udhampur Rayees Mohammad Bhat rushed to the spot and recovered three rounds. The cartridges were of ordnance factory and might be fired from a licenced weapon.
However, police rounded up several suspects and their questioning is going on.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Udhampur Police Station and further investigation into the case is going on.
