JAMMU, May 19: The dead body of an unknown man of age about 40-45 years was recovered from Ranbireshwar Temple area, here today.
According to a police spokesman, on getting information from some passersby that a dead body is lying under mysterious circumstances in a traffic booth near Ranbireshwar Temple, a police team from City police station reached the spot and shifted the body, which appeared to be of a beggar, to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification/postmortem.
He said that the deceased is about 5 feet 5 inches in height, weatish in complexion and is wearing a white shirt and a black pent. Any information about the deceased may be communicated to City police station on mobile numbers 94191-76663, 9469099253 and 7298069954. In this connection, The City police had initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC.
