JAMMU, Dec 7: The dead body of an unknown man of age about 45 years was recovered today from a ‘nallah’ in Pounichak area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, some locals today spotted decomposed body of a man in a deep drain near cremation ground in Pounichak area. He said on getting information from the locals, a police team reached the spot and shifted the body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification/postmortem.
“In this connection, inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC have been initiated by Pounichak police,” he added.
