JAMMU, July 11: The decomposed dead body of an unknown woman was recovered today from Chenab river in Akhnoor area.
According to a police spokesman, some passersby this evening spotted the decomposed dead body of an unknown woman in Chenab river under the jurisdiction of police station Akhnoor and informed the police.
He said that body was shifted to mortuary room of Sub District Hospital, Akhnoor for identification/postmortem while inquest proceedings initiated in the case under 174 CrPC.
