Union Agriculture Minister to visit J&K from July 3

SRINAGAR, June 30: Principal Secretary of Agriculture Production Department, Sundeep Kumar Nayak, today convened a meeting to review logistical arrangements for the two-day visit of Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmer Welfare (FW), Radha Mohan Singh, along with a Parliamentary Delegation from July 3.
Additional Director General of Police (Security), Directors of Agriculture, Sericulture, Command Area Development, Hospitality & Protocol, State Motor Garages and SKICC, Secretary, Royal Spring Golf Course, representatives of SKUAST and other officers attended the meeting.
The meeting was informed that on July 3, Union Minister will hold a meeting with Parliamentary Consultative Committee at SKICC. He will also meet Governor at Raj Bhavan in the evening.
On July 4, the Union Minister is scheduled to inaugurate Kisan Mela at SKAUST. Then he will attend a meeting with the State officers of Agriculture and allied departments at Lalit Grand. In the evening, Union Minister will meet Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti at her residence.
The Principal Secretary deputed Director Command Area Development to act as a Liaison Officer and coordinate all arrangements during the visit. He also directed officers to work in close coordination so that the visit of the Union Minister and Parliamentary Delegation is fruitful for the State.
