JAMMU, May 27: An unidentified male body was recovered today from a canal in RS Pura area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, the nude dead body of an unidentified man of age about 25-30 years was recovered from Sunderpur canal in suspicious condition. He said as the body bears some stabbing marks, it is suspected that the body was thrown in the canal by somebody after killing the man.
He said that the deceased youth is about 5 feet 7 inches tall and on his chest it is written ‘Sapna I Love You’. “In this regard, inquest proceeding under Section 174 CrPC was initiated at police station RS Pura and dead body kept in mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification/postmortem”, the official said, adding, anybody having any information of the deceased youth may be communicated to police station RS Pura on phone number 0192-3250221.
