Unidentified body recovered, boy drowns in water tank

KATHUA, Mar 16: A dead body of a youth about 35 to 40 years of age was found from a bathroom of Kota Express at Kathua Railway Station here this afternoon while a six year old boy drowned in a water tank in Kathraya village of Kathua district this afternoon.
According to police an unidentified dead body of a youth was found hanging in the bathroom of Kota Express which was on its way to Jammu this afternoon at Govindsar Railway Station.
The Railway Police Post Govindsar took the body into its custody and has kept it in the mortuary at District Hospital Kathua for postmortem. The identification of the body has not been made so far.
Meanwhile, a six year old boy drowned in a water tank in front of his house in village Kathraya in Kathua district. The body was fished out from the tank by the family members and taken to District Hospital Kathua for treatment where despite the efforts of the doctors they could not save him. He has been identified as Mohit Singh, son of Narotam Singh. The body of the child was handed over to parents for last rites by the police later. A case under relevant sections of the law was also registered in PS Kathua in this regard.
