Udhampur Police dedicates Volleyball Court to School

JAMMU, Aug 2: Continuing its efforts to reach out to the general public especially local youth/school going children and carrying forward its mission ‘Sahulat’, Udhampur Police dedicated Day-Night Volleyball Court to School Children of Govt Hr Secondary School Chenani, besides books for School Library.
SSP Udhampur, Rayees Mohammad Bhat inaugurated the Day-Night Volleyball Court in the presence of Chanderjeet Singh, SDPO Chenani, Inspector Sanjeev Chib, SHO PS Chenani, Satya Devi, Principal, Govt Hr Secondary School Chenani, Mohd Yaseen, BMO Chenani, Mohd Saleem Naib-Tehsildar Chenani and other prominent citizens/local youth of Chenani area besides school children.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP highlighted the importance of sports in the overall development of youth and especially the engagement of youth during evening hours which is when susceptible youth may usually fall prey to drugs and other anti-social evils.
“Keeping them engaged in the sports activities will keep them physically fit besides help them staying away from the menace of drug addiction and other social evils,” he said.
Besides this Udhampur Police also Provided Books / Competition material for the library of Govt. High School Chenani. Students, Principal and prominent citizens of Chenani area highly appreciated this initiative of Udhampur Police towards community policing in addition to their routine duties.
