JAMMU, Apr 17: Two persons today succumbed to their burn injuries here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
According to a police spokesman, a woman identified as Jyoti Devi (26) wife of Pawan Kumar, resident of Buddal, was shifted here at GMCH on April 12 after she sustained about 90% burn injuries in a fire mishap at her residence. However, the woman succumbed to her injuries today at about 11.55 AM. After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites.
A man identified as Sanjay Kumar (28) son of Rattan Lal, resident of Jaganu (Udhampur), was also undergoing treatment here at GMCH for his injuries, which he had received in a fire mishap at his residence on April 12. But, the victim succumbed to his injuries today at about 2.15 PM. After conducting post mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to their legal heirs for last rites.
In both cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
