Two notorious inter State drug peddlers arrested with ganja

JAMMU, July 10: Police under “Operation Sanjeevani” arrested two notorious inter State drug peddlers along with 14 kilograms of ganja.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a police team apprehended two notorious inter State drug peddlers along with 14 kilograms of ganja from Channi Rama area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bahu Fort police station.
The drug peddlers have been identified as Azadi Saw alias Azadi, son of Horadev Saw and Santosh Sah alias Rakesh, son of Suresh Sah, both residents of Bihar and presently residing in Gangyal.
Both the accused were earlier arrested in cases registered under FIR Number 31/16 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and FIR Number 174/15 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act with police station Gangyal.
The narcotic drug was meant to be sold among the youth of district Jammu and with the arrest of these drug peddlers, police achieved a major success to save the youth from becoming drug addicts.
A fresh case under FIR Number 161/17 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused at police station Bahu Fort and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by SDPO East Arun Jamwal and Incharge Narwal police post SI Waseem Mehraj made the arrest under the supervision of SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
