JAMMU, June 29: Miran Sahib police arrested two persons along with 5 kilograms of poppy straw (bhukki)
As per sources, a police party from Miran Sahib police station led by SHO SI Hilal Azhar along with ASI Raj Kumar under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh, SP Headquarters Randheer Singh and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajiv Pandey laid a naka at Kullian and intercepted two persons.
During checking, police recovered 5 kilograms of bhukki from their possession and arrested both the accused on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Ankush Sharma, son of Yadav Nath Sharma of Mokhey, RS Pura and Rakesh Kumar alias Bablu, son of Dayal Singh of Jeewan Nagar.
A case under FIR number 97/15 under Section 8/15/29 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
