JAMMU, Sept 30: Two persons were killed today in separate road mishaps in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, an old man identified as Somi Kumar (60) son of Beli Ram, resident of Om Nagar, Udhaywala, Jammu, was killed on the spot in the wee hours of today when he fell down from a moving mini-bus in Satwari area.
Another mishap occurred today at about 12.30 am in Kunjwani area near Guru Gobind School, where a pedestrian identified as Ram Lal (65) son of Tara Chand, resident of Kunjwani Bypass, was hit by a rashly driven bike. The man received serious injuries in the mishap and was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where he expired at about 7 am.
The dead bodies of both the deceased were shifted to mortuary room of GMCH Jammu for postmortem while the concerned police had taken cognizance in both the cases.
