Two killed over land disputes

SRINAGAR, Aug 13: A man killed his brother over land dispute in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A police official said that two brothers, Ghulam Mohammad Wani and Abdul Razaq Wani sons of Abdul Satar of Hatigam in Anantnag, clashed with one another over a land dispute. Razaq attacked and critically injured his brother with a stick.
The official said he was shifted to a hospital for treatment, where he succumbed to his injures.
An FIR number 55/2013 under Section 302 RPC has been registered in this regard, he said.
Meanwhile, one person was killed in a scuffle between two groups over land dispute in Budgam.
Police said Ghulam Ahmad Mir son of Mohammad Akbar of Ramhama received injuries in a scuffle over a land dispute between two groups in village Ramhama, Budgam. He was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for treatment, where he succumbed his injures. Police said they have registered a case in this regard and investigation has been started.
