Two killed, one hurt in mishaps

SRINAGAR, Mar 15: Police today said two persons were killed while a pedestrian was injured in separate road accidents in Valley.
A police spokesman said a video coach vehicle bearing registration number JK02N-3107 driven by Sajad Ahmad Peer hit and injured a pedestrian girl namely Abirou Hamid at Kadlabal Chowk in Pampore area of south Kashmir. She was shifted to Sub District Hospital Pampore for treatment where doctors declared her brought dead, he said, adding that the driver was arrested and the vehicle seized. Police have registered a case in this regard.
The spokesman said a load carrier bearing registration number JK05-4642 driven by Abdul Reheem skidded off the road at Panznara in Parimpora area here on city outskirts, resulting in on spot death of the driver. After completion of medico legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his next of kin for last rites, the spokesman said, adding that a case has been registered in this regard.
The police spokesman said a sumo bearing registration number JK03C-9315 driven by Irshad Ahmad Badar hit and injured a pedestrian lady namely Saida at Bidder village of Kokernag in Anantnag district. The injured lady was shifted to hospital for treatment, he said, adding that police have registered a case in this regard.
