Two injured in road accidents

JAMMU, May 14: Two persons were injured today in separate road mishaps in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a Head Constable (Belt No 561/J) of J&K police who was posted as guard of MLA Rajeev Sharma, sustained injuries when a bike on which he was travelling, was hit by a speeding truck at Paloura on Jammu-Akhnoor road.
The injured cop, who was identified as Chaman Lal (48) son of Sardha Ram, resident of Chani Tarkwal (Akhnoor), was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment.
Another mishap occurred at Gadigarh, where an oil tanker hit a scooter and injured its rider namely Ramesh Lal (35) son of Chaman Lal, resident of Kullian (RS Pura). He was rushed to Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar but later referred to GMCH Jammu.
In both cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
