JAMMU, Aug 8: In separate incidents, two persons were found hanging at their respective residences in city and its outskirts.
According to police sources, a woman identified as Anita (36) wife of Sandeep Singh, resident of H No 87, Sector 7, Channi Himmat, was found hanging with a fan at her residence, this morning.
“Similarly, a man identified as Dinesh Kumar son of Hari Lal Sahu, resident of Fatehpur, UP (at present Kasim Nagar, Jewel), was found hanging in a rented accommodation at Kasim Nagar, Jewel, late last night”, sources said.
Both the bodies were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where after conducting post-mortem, they were handed over to their legal heirs for last rites.
They said that in both cases, no suicide note was recovered from the spot. “Therefore, the concerned police have initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC in both cases”, sources further said.
