Two drug peddlers nabbed with heroin

JAMMU, Jan 22: Miran Sahib police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ nabbed two drug peddlers and recovered heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Miran Sahib police station laid a naka at Balole and asked two pedestrians to stop for checking.
On seeing police cops, the pedestrians escaped from the spot. Stinking something fishy, police cops chased and nabbed them near some distance from the naka point.
During checking, police recovered five grams heroin from their possession and arrested them.
The drug peddlers have been identified as Om Parkash alias DC, son of Pokhraj Sharma and Kamal Khajuria alias Sanjay, son of Dev Raj, both residents of Rahi Morh, Gadigarh.
A case under FIR Number 17/17 under Section 8/21/22/29 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against them at police station Miran Sahib and investigation started to ascertain the source of this consignment.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Pawan Kumar along with DySP (P) Sunniya Askoor Wani made the arrest under the close supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
