Two drug peddlers arrested with heroin

JAMMU, Dec 4: Two drug peddlers have been arrested along with heroin from Jewel area, falling under the jurisdiction of Nowabad Police Station.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nowabad Police Station laid a naka near Jewel and intercepted two persons, who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 90 grams heroin from their possession and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Nisar Ahmad, son of Bashir Ahmad and Asif Ali, son of Ali Mohammad, both residents of district Anantnag, Kashmir.
A case under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Police Station Nowabad and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by SHO Nowabad Inspector Neeraj Bhagat made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Pranav Mahajan and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
