Two dead bodies recovered from canal

JAMMU, Aug 28: An unidentified male body was recovered today from a canal in Belicharana area while an unknown female body was recovered from a canal in Miran Sahib area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, the decomposed body of an unidentified man of age about 35-40 years, wearing brown pant and shirt was spotted by some locals in Ranbir canal at Canal Head, Belicharana.
On getting information from locals, a police team reached the spot, evicted the body from canal and shifted it to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification and postmortem.
Meanwhile, the body of an unidentified woman of age about 40 years was recovered from a canal in Miran Sahib area. The body was shifted to GMCH for identification and post mortem.
In both cases, the concerned police have initiated investigation after registering cases.
