JAMMU, Nov 14: Two-days Jammu District Athletics Championship, organized by Jammu District Athletics Association under the aegis of J&K Amateur Athletics Association concluded at Armed Police Complex Channi Himmat here.
On the valedictory function, Harbhajan Singh, President J&K Weightlifting Association was the chief guest and Rajan Sharma, General Secretary J&K Boxing Association was the guest of honour. They distributed medals and certificates among the winners in presence of Sarwant Singh Gill, General Secretary J&K Cycling Association, Yudhvir Singh, General Secretary J&K Weightlifting Association, Sharat Chander Singh, General Secretary, J&K Amateur Athletics Association, Vinod Bhatia, Jammu District Athletics Association, Nirmal Singh, Rajesh Kumar, Abid Hussain and Daleep Sharma.
In under-14 category, Sulakshya Singh secured first position in Long Jump, while Kartik Sangral bagged first position in Shotput, Simranjot Kour clinched first position in 100 meters, Chetana Kumari secured second position in 100 meters and first position in 600 meters and Simran Verma bagged third position 600 meters.
In under16 category, Shivang Salgotra bagged first position in 100 meters and third in 200 meters, Rishipal Singh clinched second position in 100 and 200 meters, Prabhjot Singh bagged first position in 400 meters, Ankit Kumar clinched third position in 100 meters, Kashish Khajuria secured first positions in Long Jump and 200 meters, Harshvardhan clinched first and second positions in Discus Throw and Long Jump respectively, Rajat Sudan secured first position in Shotput and Paras Khajuria bagged first and second positions in Discus Throw and Shotput.
In under-18 Category, Abhay Singh secured first position in Discus Throw, Shali Devi clinched second position in 100 and 200 meters, Shikha Sharma secured first positions in 100 and 200 meters, Muskan Rajput clinched first position in Shotput and 400 meters, Amit Angural clinched third position in 200 meters, Abrar Choudhary clinched first position in 400 meters, Gopal Krishan secured first and second positions in Shotput and 100 meters respectively, Ajay Kumar bagged first position in 200 and 1500 meters, Atul Khajuria bagged second position in 400 meters, Vishal Chib clinched first position in 800 meters, Harjinder Singh secured first and third positions in 100 meters and Long Jump respectively, Sourav Khajuria bagged second and first positions in 100 meters and Long Jump and Shahid Choudhary bagged second position in 800 meters.
