Two-day conference “Cuticon J&K 2018” concludes

JAMMU, Oct 27: Two-day annual conference titled “Cuticon J&K 2018”organized under the flagship of Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL), J&K chapter in collaboration with the Department of Dermatology, GMC Jammu, concluded today at Jammu Convention Centre, Circuit House, Jammu.
The conference was conducted by the organizing committee of Cuticon under the aegis of IADVL J&K chapter and active support and participation of the Department of Dermatology, GMC Jammu, headed by Prof (Dr) Devraj Dogra, who is also the organizing chairperson of Cuticon J&K 2018 and president, IADVL J&K.
Prominent national and international dermatology faculty attended the conference. Lectures on various intriguing and challenging topics in dermatology were presented by various experts in their respective fields.
The conference started with a three-hour workshop session in which experts from their respective fields demonstrated various upcoming techniques in modern dermatology. The scientific program also consisted of an exhaustive schedule of panel discussions, free papers, award papers and quiz for post graduate students along with poster presentations.
Renowned faculty from prestigious institutes like AIIMS, PGI Chandigarh and other renowned medical colleges attended the conference and shared their life experiences in difficult to treat skin ailments and newer developments in dermatology. Other latest developments in the field of lasers, dermato-surgery, aesthetic dermatology, diagnostic dermatology and dermato-pathology were elaborated upon by leading experts from across the country.
The conference was attended by over 200 delegates from all over the country and presentations were given by over 40 eminent faculty.
Earlier, the conference was inaugurated by Prof Manoj K Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu who was the chief guest on the occasion. The occasion was also graced by Prof (Dr) GH Hajini, senior most and an eminent name in the field of dermatology, as guest of honour.
Other dignitaries who were present included administration of GMC and associated hospitals along with Medical Superintendents of GMC and SMGS Hospital. The program was also attended by HoDs of various departments from GMC Jammu and ASCOMS Medical College.
