RAMBAN, Mar 17: Two brothers were killed and another injured when a landslide hit them near Ari Marg Bawa in tehsil Khari, this morning.
As per police sources, a group of five labourers were heading towards Srinagar for some construction work, when a landslide hit them near Ari Marg Bawa on Khari-Maho link road today morning.
In the incident, one person died on the spot, while two others were injured and rushed to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Banihal. Click here to watch video
Later, one of the injured was referred to Bone and Joint Hospital Srinagar, where he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries, thereby taking the death toll in the incident to two.
The deceased have been identified as Qasim and Abdullah, sons of Ghulam Hassan, residents of Ari Marg, tehsil Khari, district Ramban.
The injured identified as Shabir Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed of Ari Marg was responding to the treatment at SDH Banihal, when last reports came in.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the bodies of the deceased were handed over to their family members for last rites.
Banihal police has taken cognizance in this regard.
