Turkey opens investigation on missing journalist

ISTANBUL, Oct 7: Turkish prosecutors have opened an investigation into the disappearance of the missing Saudi journalist, Jamal Khashoggi.
According to a BBC report, media persons have told, Khashoggi, who has been missing since Tuesday from a Saudi consulate in Istanbul, is believed to have been killed inside the consulate the same day.
A source quoted by The Washington Post said that the journalist was killed by a 15-member Saudi team sent “specifically for the murder”.
Quoting the head of the Turkish-Arab Media Association, New York Times revealed that Turkish police officers providing security for the consulate had checked their security cameras and did not see the journalist leave on foot. But, Turan Kislakci said that diplomat’s cars had been seen moving in and out of the consulate.
However, neither anybody has suggested how he was killed nor do they have any evidence for the claim.
